Nine Dead, 20 Missing in Bridge Collapse
I wrote about this as soon as I heard about it last night. Here is the latest news of the Mississippi River bridge collapse, at least as far as I have seen.
Yahoo is reporting at least seven people dead right now. They had to call off the search efforts as it just got too dark for searchers to safely operate. I'm sure that will be back out again this morning as soon as it gets light. It won't be too much longer before the blame mongers get involved and start pointing fingers. Expect the Bush Administration which has nothing whatsoever to do with it, to step up to the plate and show you how more Federal Government involvement would have stopped this as well. I predict that before Sunday night at the earliest.

This really creeped me out when I first found out. My friend Kirsten lives in Minneapolis, and she said she was about 10 minutes away from being on the bridge when it happened. I feel so bad for the victims' families.
